Sold two more domains yesterday. One of them I made a very small profit on (spent $2,500 on the domain, sold it for $2,800) which normally does not make sense but let me tell you why it made sense to me. I bought the domain at an expired auction. I held onto it for a year. Contacted a bunch of end users and couldn’t get any interest in it. Nobody made a single offer via Sedo/GoDaddy on it over the year. At this point it makes sense to me to dump a domain if you get the opportunity. If you can still squeeze out a little profit that is great ($300 on $2,500 is still a 12% return), if you break even on it that’s fine also, because there other domains you can invest in today and try to flip instead of being stubborn and sitting on a domain forever. You can’t be right on them all. Here’s today’s list…
My Top 5 Picks
Kamchatka.com – this is a geo domain for you geo collectors, and yes, I had to Google it to learn that.
sjm.org – I like the three letters together, quite a few uses for them.
eCigarrette.com – it’s a typo but if you sell these online then it might be worth your while.
EbookStore.org – if you want to sell ebooks this is a pretty sweet domain name to do it on.
ProMakeup.com – great name for a company that does professional makeup.
My 5 Picks with Less Than 10 Bidders
CustomInstallation.com – find businesses that do custom installs and sell them this domain.
Tempted.org – sell all of life’s vices on this domain name.
FirstClassTours.com – for those who want to tour in style.
StickyTabs.com – pretty sure these are a product, but if not its a good idea.
CarInsuranceQuotes.me – does not play into the .me extension well but if you are keyword focused you might like this one.
My Darkhorse Pick (a domain I think you can snatch cheap and sell for over $1,000)
WirelessGroup.com – everything is going wireless so there’ll be a group who wants this one.
