Here’s a quick breakdown of my sales from the past 30 days.
Domains sold through GoDaddy auctions: 4.
Total Sales Price: $4,100
Total Profit: $3,500
Domains sold through Sedo: 2
Total Sales Price: $6,050
Total Profit: $4,800
All the domains I sold were bought at either Namejet or GoDaddy so while I get when people say “all the good domains are already taken” but it doesn’t mean there isn’t opportunities for profit for those with a good eye. Year to date I’ve had revenue in the mid five figures and my profit margin is around 80%. I also own around 500 domains so you don’t need a portfolio of thousands of domains to do OK with domaining. Here’s the list…
My Top 5 Picks
xzzz.com – no clue what you’d do with this or who would want it but 91 bidders already on this.
SoulSearching.com – nice name that people will recognize for a brand.
HybridPhones.com – part phone part movie projector? No idea what they will make the phone do next.
3-l.com – if you like short domains here you go… though I own two L-L.com’s and haven’t had any interest in them.
SiteDating.com – people love using dating sites. I guess it is a quick and easy way to try to pick up someone hot and if you get shot down at least all your friends don’t get to see it.
My 5 Picks with Less Than 10 Bidders
eAuthorized.com – the “e” works pretty well with this domain me thinks.
SexyRobots.com – it’s only a matter of time… and the lonely 50 year old men will be smiling.
NewYorkCityChefs.com – a flog (food blog) covering the chefs of the city.
zMods.com – brandable domain name for someone who makes mods for forums.
LoverLover.com – some people like domains where the keyword is repeated twice, personally I don’t get it, but at least for this one people will recognize it cuz of that song that says “Hey Mr. Lover Lover”.
My Darkhorse Pick (a domain I think you can snatch cheap and sell for over $1,000)
DesignSale.com – think this could be a profitable flip. Only 2 bidders.
Congrats on a strong month!
What were the domains you sold?
The biggest one I cannot post due to buyer’s request. I sold Themeville.com for $2,500 , CheapCarInsurance1.com for $1,000 , and then three smaller ones for a couple hundred each.
Great job on the sales. Those are impressive figures.
