I’ve got my eye on a certain domain auction that I want to buy and launch a business on. Not mentioning the domain here because I don’t need to add more competition to the mix but if I win this domain I’ll definitely do a follow up piece on it from domain purchase to business launch. Good list of domains on the list today, I think Hotelzilla is a very strong domain with good end user potential. Here’s the list…

My Top 5 Picks

Nclm.com – Four good letters, I’ve noticed on Namejet that four good letters are selling for $300-$500 on average. If an end user wants it I’ve seen these sell for $XXXX-$XXXXX.

Qrc.org – lots of end users use QRC in their business name. Could also stand for QR Code.

During.com – easy to remember single word .com domain. Worth a grand at least.

PetFriends.com – pet owners go gaga for their pets. Nice domain name to capitalize on that.

Hotelzilla.com – a few different businesses added “zilla” to the end of their keyword (i.e. Shopzilla) so this is a pretty good keyword+zilla domain.

My 5 Picks with Less Than 10 Bidders

RingBackTone.com – if there are ringtones than there should be ringback tones.

MufflerSystems.com – good domain for a muffler shop, buy it, contact a bunch, sell it.

AdLock.com – sounds like a nice product to help people monetize their websites.

Bayford.com – Geo domain, actually quite a few places named Bayford.

FootballHit.com – I see a bunch of big football hit videos on this site. Football fans would love it.

My Darkhorse Pick (a domain I think you can snatch cheap and sell for over $1,000)

Wthx.com – these are call letters for a radio station. Not sure if call letters are trademarked or not so check that out before you bid.
