A couple of auctions going on right now, I mentioned the Moniker Year End one yesterday and today I’ll mention the .CO premium domain auction (found at Sedo.co). So far only one domain (hot.co) has met reserve. I am not a .co fan, I think only one person is making any real money off the .co domains. Sure you hear about a $5,000 sale here or there, but you don’t hear about the tens of thousands of domains that are dropping every month or two representing a significant loss to those who bought into the hype (I myself threw away about around grand I think… or should I say I stupidly donated it to that sole person who’s making any money off these things). If you’re a .co fan (God help you) then you might be interested in this auction. Here’s the list…
My Top 5 Picks
Louis.net – it’s missing the Saint, but its still a popular first name.
Pinfo.com – not sure if pinning information is as cool as pinning pictures, but it might work.
LoveMilk.com – good name for the Milk industry to pick up, or for a milk producer to buy and brand.
MiniScooter.com – these things still sell for a couple hundred bucks even if they are mini.
McPhoto.com – good name for a cheap photo service.
My 5 Picks with Less Than 10 Bidders
MoodTees.com – ahhh the hypercolor shirts used to be big when I was growing up, if they only branded them as mood tees they still might be around.
Beep.tv – trendy name, would be good for an upstart company.
MexicoTelevision.com – not too many bidders but I like it.
AntiqueJewelry.net – nice keyword domain even if it is a .net.
DenverPress.com – has a few different potential uses, end user potential.
My Darkhorse Pick (a domain I think you can snatch cheap and sell for over $1,000)
HowToBuildMuscleFast.com – this could be the site visited by more 16 year old skinny kids than any other site.
