Sometimes I see things in the domain name world and I scratch my head and wonder what the heck someone is thinking (or maybe am I missing something here). The domain name ufit.com sold on Namejet for $15,100 on 11/5/2010. First off, I think this domain name is not even worth $5,000. But regardless, fine, someone paid $15 grand for it.
Before you drop $15k on a domain you should have some sort of idea what you’re going to do with the domain. If your idea is that you’re going to turn around and try to sell it on Ebay then maybe you need to rethink your strategy. The domain is for sale here: http://cgi.ebay.com/UFIT-COM-NET-RARE-LLL-LLLL-3-THREE-LETTER-DOMAIN-NAME-/330493437030?pt=Domain_Names&hash=item4cf2f1a466 with a Buy It Now price of $24,900. If I hated this domain name at $15k, then at $25k I’m ready to jump off a bridge. I don’t get the prices, I don’t get the strategy, I don’t get how someone who pays these prices or has this strategy even has a spare $15k in their pocket in the first place. But hey, that’s just me.
